Everyday Luxe
How would you define everyday luxe? This was our conversation when my fashionable friends and I first landed on the topic/theme for the month. Agreement was reached that we might each define it differently. Therefore, we landed on each of us defining it for ourselves. Here’s my spin on it: Everyday luxe is taking an everyday item that might typically be plain but elevating it to another level. Think about wearing t-shirts, ja plain white blouse, jean jackets and sweatpants. These clothing items might be relatively plain perhaps different colors or materials. Now add embellishments such as sequins, rhinestones and glitter! BOOM! You’ve now got an everyday item that’s comfortable but it has a luxe feel and look. What do you think about my definition? How would you define it?
Luxe My Way
This look embodies all that I consider luxe! I’m wearing a relatively plain black v neck t-shirt but the v is trimmed in metallic silver. The skirt is an easy pull on but make it luxe by wearing a metallic silver or gold skirt. The denim jacket is a one of kind made by Jackie of Dyetology. To read a previous blog about Jackie, click HERE. The shoulders have rhinestone pieces. The cuffs are trimmed in shimmery/glittery black ribbon. One of the pocket flaps has silver metallic embellishment. One of the side panels has a beautiful floral pattern in sliver and black metallic. If you are talented and at all crafty, you could easily create your own one of a kind piece; or reach out to Jackie. I know she’d be thrilled to create a beautiful one of kind denim jacket just for you!

It was my plan to share with you some new items I’ve recently purchase that meet my definition of luxe but it’s been too cold here; and you know I’m always cold. Here are some casual cute everyday luxe items I’m loving!
I really liked this t-shirt dress with rhinestones (you might have to zoom in on the sleeves to see the details better) on the sleeves. It’s comfortable and going to be so easy to wear once it warms up. It also comes in black. It has a loose fit although you could add a belt. I think it can easily be dressed up with heels or worn with sneakers as shown. I have a cute pair of silver flats that I’m going to wear with it.
Plain white t-shirts aren’t really my thing but give me all the graphic t-shirts! However, these oversized taffeta sleeves enticed me to get this tee (it also comes in black). The puffy taffeta sleeves in my opinion adds some luxe! What do you think? It looks so cute with jeans. I think it will also be cute with skirts, shorts, joggers, etc.

These I.N.C. joggers are studded with micro rhinestones along the sides. This “nantucket breez” color is great for spring and summer. The joggers also come in black. I like wearing joggers when traveling. These will be perfect in June for my girl’s trip to Palm Springs. I also was able to grab several embellished tees that will be cute with these joggers. Sadly, I can’t find the tees on line so they must have sold out already.
This is the only tee that I got that is still available. How cute is this puffy sleeved tee with star embellishments? I got it in white. It also comes in “Lemon Candy” and “Nantucket Breez”. Which color would you pick?

Emma – The Style Splash – “When I think of everyday luxe, soft textures and bold prints immediately come to mind. Velvet is my ultimate luxe fabric and these trousers are so comfortable (the elasticated waistband helps!). Paired with a bright retro print shirt and I’m feeling groovy and comfy!”
Shelbee – Shelbee on the Edge – “Everyday Luxe to me means combining luxurious fabrics and prints into an everyday outfit. A combination of leather, leopard print, sequins, and laced up suede seemed like a perfect pairing for this theme.”
Ada – Elegance and Mommyhood – “What is Everyday Luxe?! It can be interpreted many different ways, I think depending on your lifestyle and your profession, too. In my opinion it’s pieces that are timeless, well-made and classic! Take a pair of leopard flats for example. I have always owned a pair of nice (not cheap) leopard flats. This new Sam Edelman calf-hair pair replaced by White House Black Market ones. I also think every woman needs a nice neutral knit dress and this cable-knit Zara dress is the one. Ditto on a beautiful blazer: go for a black, or another neutral color; think of a classic pattern like herringbone or glen plaid print which are classy and timeless.”

It was fun defining Everyday Luxe and seeing how each of us defined it! I think I defined it in a way that describes my everyday style! LOL. Jackie of Dyetoloty does such an amazing job creating unique, beautiful, one of kind denim jackets! I’ll be wearing it all kinds of ways and styling it lots of ways for years and years to come!
