Chico’s New Collection – May 2021
Maggie, the store manager at the Chico’s Naperville location, hosted another Chic Sneak Peek this past week! It’s always great getting together with Maggie, the Naperville sales staff and fellow Chicago Midlife Influencers to see the new collections and offer up our styling tips!
This month’s Chic Sneak Peek was both virtual and IN PERSON for the first time since we’ve started our sneak peeks! To say it was exciting to have an in person audience is an understatement! Le Chocolate du Bouchard was our wonderful hosts for our live event. The attendees were able to order lunch and drinks off of their tasty menu.
Additionally, the owner, Cathy, shared how she created her “chocolate regimen” and each attendee was given a chocolate sample! It’s a story you need to hear for yourself! It was an afternoon of fashion and chocolates!
Maggie and the associates always have our fitting rooms ready and waiting for us – cleaned and socially distanced. She places a very generous thank you gift/Swag Bag in our individual rooms!
Maggie and the Associates worked to pull all of the newest items and assemble the looks that Sue, Maggie and I would be sharing along with all of our styling tips! The mannequins were dressed and prepped! The accessories were collected for each look and bagged up!
On this day, I was celebrating that we got to have an in person fashion show! I got to share the beautiful new Chico’s line! Spending time with Maggie, Sue and my mom is always fun! Le Chocolate has the best martinis; and this was my first day of summer break so I had one to celebrate! Lastly, I got to meet another local Instagram friend for the first time! There’s always a lot to be celebrated no matter how small!
I did wait until after the show to have my celebratory chocolate martini!

My mom bought this kimono but we’re actually going to share it! We’re very different heights and sizes; however, we both tried it on and can pull it off by styling it slightly different to account for our size differences! The back of this kimono is really gorgeous! Click here to check it out!

A Few Things I Shopped
My mom purchased this scarf for me as part of my upcoming birthday present. The details of this scarf are what caught my attention – the colors, the leopard print and the tassels! All so cute! I’m going to pair it with this light weight sweater, which is an ombre colored “CALYPSO CORAL”! Since the sweater is relatively sheer I’m going to wear a white tank underneath. I think pattern mixing will be fun so I’m going to wear camo print pants (playing off of the olive shade of green in the palm leaves) and my leopard print sandals! The whole look will also be cute with white jeans, blue jeans, a denim skirt and other solid colored tops.
