COLD SHOULDER SWEATER

Cold shoulder sweaters are on trend this winter!  Similar to the spring/summer trend this look is good for all ages since everyone’s shoulders look great!  As each day passes and the weather is getting rapidly colder, I know some of you might be sharing my fear … that fear of it being too cold to even look somewhat cute. Luckily, the cold shoulder sweater has come to our rescue!! This sweater allows us to keep warm and still show some skin due to the shoulder cut outs! Sometimes, the smallest details can really add more to your outfit! It’s the perfect sweater style for everyday wear, or dressed up for holiday wear! You will definitely be achieving effortless winter style by rocking one of these sweaters!

Holiday Party Dresses for Each Body Type!

Apple

The best dress selection for women that carry extra weight around the middle are shift dresses,  A line dresses or swing dresses.   A dress with ruching will look good too.  Check out the great choices below!

Hour Glass

If you have an hour glass shape don’t try to minimize your curves but rather highlight them.  Wear dresses that have a fitted top and nip in at the middle and then have a full skirt.  Belted dresses are great as they will show off your waist.  You will also look great in a pencil skirt.

Athletic

You can rock anything fitted or fitted and flared.  You can pull off short hemlines.  Dresses with side cut outs will give the appearance of curves.  Dresses or blouses with embellishments on top will also look great on you.

 Pear

Off the shoulder dresses are a great choice for pear shaped women.  Any dress that is fitted on top and then flares at the bottom will also flatter.  An A line skirt or a full skirt with a fitted top is also a great choice!

HOW TO WEAR A PUFFY VEST AND LOOK TRENDY…

This year a chic puffy vest is on the top of our favorite fall clothing pieces. It is warm, stylish and comfortable. Although it is sleeveless, you’d be surprised how warm a puffy vest will keep as you venture out into the cold. There are many different ways to wear this extremely versatile piece and give it that stylish edge. You can layer it over tights and rain boots. Wear it over a dress with leggings and booties. Wear it with a flannel and jeans. You can even combine a puffy vest with well-tailored pants. Here’s one way I wore mine:

Not only is this cozy trend super stylish, but also gets a furry friend stamp of approval from Fashion Trends and Friends.  From the streets to the runways, this trend has been seen everywhere. Coming in all different patterns and styles, faux fur is the trend to rock this fall/winter season. My absolute favorite way to showcase faux fur is through different styles of outerwear. Here’s how Cindy and I styled it…

BLANKET SCARVES = HOT FALL TREND

There are scarves, and then there are blanket scarves. Blanket scarves are a giant version of a scarf that are so big they could even be used as, you guessed it, a blanket. They’re warm, cozy, comfortable, and wonderful.

But despite how versatile they are, blanket scarves can be hard to figure out. There’s so much fabric that it’s easy to look at it and go, “how the heck do I wrap this around my neck?” If you want to embrace the coziest trend of the season, we’ve got you covered! Here are some style tips on how to wear blanket scarves:how-to-blanket-scarf-1

My Summer Bikini Body Wasn’t Ready but my Fall Sweater Body is on Point!

This quote shared by my sister, Karen, on Facebook made me laugh because it is so true!  Fall is my favorite season with its glorious foliage and cooler weather which allows me to break out my sweaters!  On trend this year are sexy cold shoulders, cutouts, ruffles, fringe, extra-long sleeves, turtlenecks, lace-ups, and one of my favorite looks – bell sleeves.  In addition to keeping you comfy, cozy and warm sweaters do double duty camouflaging any extra around the middle!
