Meet Cindy

I’m so glad you dropped by!  I’m Cindy, a marketing executive, a wife, and mom of 4 kids – Buford, Rusty, Gonzo and Molly (our dogs).  Originally from Chicago, now living in Tucson AZ.

After graduating from Northern Illinois University (where I met Julie and Lori) I launched my career at leading fashion costume jewelry company called Trifari Jewelry.   It was the mid 80’s and costume jewelry was hot.  Can you imagine…. I’m in my 20’s flying to New York 4 or 5 times a year getting paid to attend fashions shows and getting a wardrobe allowance so I could wear the color pallet for the season and show how the jewelry coordinated with the trends.   I thought I won the lottery!   I remember many times when Julie and Lori came down to the showroom and the 3 of us picking out jewelry samples to go with the outfits we were going to wear out on the town that night.  Such fun memories!   I stayed with that company for 11 years.   It was a journey that I cherish and think about fondly.

After leaving Trifari, I left the fashion industry but never lost my passion for fashion.   I’ve been sharing my opinions and experience with friends and colleagues on fashion since I can remember (just ask them….I’m sure there are times they would have preferred for me to keep quite!)

My life long fashion problem areas?  Thighs & hips!  Pencil skirts, short dresses, hip hugging pants and shorts were never my friend.  What I wouldn’t have done for some Spanks back then!  I am no longer comfortable with sleeveless shirts or dresses, yet I live in Arizona!  So I have to get creative in the summer because you just can’t be wearing long or ¾ sleeves during the summer here!

I’m so excited to be working on this blog with Lori and Julie.  I hope that you will follow us along on this journey and share your fashion challenges, what are you looking for that you can’t find, what problem areas are you trying to solve?  Between us and our readers let us try to solve your fashion problem!
